Richard Prince is denouncing art he/some of his assistants created in the Kushner Trump collection in an effort to “make them small again”. I love it!
I wonder how his gallery feels about this? Nevertheless, well-played by him. Artists should be able to have a certain degree of control over their work, especially when it happens to end up in a collection that might hurt their career.
Gagosian probably doesnt care, I cant see this affecting them negatively. The funny thing is, this whole story and the political context might contribute to the work getting more sought after in the future than his other instagram portraits.
